Join Singapore's first virtual bar to support your favourite drinking joint

Considered Singapore's first virtual bar, 1887 Virtual Bar is a weekly online initiative that lets viewers sentinel, for free, featured guest bartenders from different local bars all across Singapore whip upwardly themed cocktails via video conferencing.
Since it was launched two weeks ago, 1887 Virtual Bar has held 2 sessions, with around 200 participants dropping by. To date, it has featured bartenders from Shin Gi Tai and Nutmeg & Clove. Hendricks administrator Charmaine Thio and Glenfiddich's Brett Bayly serve equally the regular weekly hosts.

The event also doubles upward as a fundraiser – guests can make virtual donations past purchasing digital cocktails from the week'due south carte. Every S$xx donated to your bar of choice will entitle you to a digital beverage voucher, which is redeemable when the pledged bar reopens. WG&South will then match every donation dollar-for-dollar, for up to S$i,000 per bar.
WG&South says 100 cocktails accept been purchased to date. "These are uncertain times for everyone and more than e'er, it's important that we support 1 another," said Satya Sharma, WG&S manager for Southeast Asia. "The William Grant & Sons family unit hopes to help our extended family in the local bartending community stay 'open up' both virtually and in real life."
The next virtual bar session will be held on Th night (April 23) at 8pm, and will feature bartender Christyne Lee from Tess Bar, who will be concocting 4 signature martini drinks, including an agave and lime martini and a peach and butterfly pea martini.
The menus will be available to purchase a few hours before each session and volition stay upwardly online until the following Midweek 8pm.
